Since I can remember, I've always loved jewelry. I grew up seeing all the important women in my life wearing beautiful “real” solid gold jewelry. In my teens, I only could afford “fake” jewelry, also known as gold plated jewelry. The quality was so terrible, that it would always break, turn black and the gold would come off. I would constantly repeat the cycle of buying new pieces and eventually having to throw them out in the garbage. With some time, I realized that I was allergic to gold-plated jewelry. My skin would get itchy, turn red and have bumps and rashes all over. As much as I loved wearing gold jewelry, I had to stop.

A couple of years ago, I heard there was an alternative to solid gold and it was called gold-filled. I learned that gold-filled jewelry had a very thick layer of solid gold pressure bonded to a base material. This meant that it was waterproof and would last for a long time. Also, I learned that it did not have any nickel, which is what I was allergic too. I was so excited to finally find an alternative to solid gold and build my new collection of jewelry.

I've always enjoyed DIY projects and learning how to make things. One of my favourite things to do was make my own jewelry. I thought it would be a fun little project to start up again. At the same time, I was working on my mental health and well-being.  It took my mind away from things and made me feel like I could be creative again. I was so happy to make meaningful pieces for my friends and family. It was a wonderful feeling to see them excited to receive and wear their new pieces. After some time, deliberation and much encouragement, I decided to take the risk and create Love Always, Elle Jewelry.

My goal is to make and curate timeless pieces of jewelry that you can wear every day and will never want to take off. Jewelry you can personalize to celebrate the special moments in your life. Most importantly, I only want to provide quality pieces that will last you for many years.
